Statistical Assistant – New York

Assist in building predictive models in Excel.

Data Skills:

  • Strong Excel skills: familiarity with macros
  • Familiarity with standard statistical packages (SPSS, SAS or Systat)
  • Some programming background: (Visual Basic or C++) (Helpful, but optional)
  • At ease working with large data sets
  • Data precision: incorporates internal data checks

Data Savvy:

  • Conceptual understanding of underlying statistical premise, meaning…
    • Can see 'past the numbers'
    • Willing to apply concepts creatively, rather than 'by the book'
    • Can apply approaches across studies – 'if it works here, it ought to work there'
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiasm and a strong desire to learn new approaches and techniques
  • Able to clearly articulate conceptual findings; comfortable speaking in public
  • Ability to be organized across multiple projects

Educational background: Bachelor’s in math, statistics or related field helpful

Senior Research Analyst – Philadelphia

We are seeking an energetic, hands-on Senior Research Analyst with between 3-5 years experience to join dynamic group in our suburban Philadelphia office. Must have solid research skills. Supplier background preferred. Experience conducting Internet research a plus, but only if knowledgeable of traditional research methodologies (i.e. CATI, CLT) as well. This candidate will be challenged on all fronts and will receive as much responsibility as he/she is capable of handling.

Beyond processing skills (i.e. questionnaire design, knowledge of field and tab), this position requires solid writing and analytic skills including experience with the application of multivariate techniques.
